A Perfect Intermediate Model

The YAS48 offers a little more resistance than the student model, enabling the player to work on their quality of tone. The sound produced is very rich, full bodied and resonant which is a great feature when progressing onto an intermediate instrument.

The YAS480 is a small upgrade from the previous YAS475 and has an improved low B-C# connection for better adjustment and consistent closing of the C# key. This is the key which tends to cause the most problems over time in student instruments. The new connection further allows a clearer response in the lower registers.

Furthermore, a redesigned octave key system (from the 62 Series) facilitates the use of custom necks. This latter development enables you to experiment with different crook designs as well as mouthpiece shapes which is all important in personalising your sound. The YAS480 has separated key guards which gives much greater flexibility when moving quickly over the key work. The delicate pattern engraved onto the bell adds a touch of elegance to an already stylish instrument.
