Yamaha have researched extensively to find out the optimum bowl dimensions and bowl edge angles for kettle drums. The resulting TP-3300 range has a vastly improved sound quality compared to older models. They have the same shape bowls as some of the top range Yamaha models, as well as renaissance heads and hoops, all which help to create a deep, sustained tone. The TP-3300 range are incredibly easy to transport. They have retractable legs and pedals as well as castors (75mm diameter) with locks, not to mention they are considerably lighter than most timpani. The legs are height adjustable with a height range of 79-82 cm and there is an integrated tuning indicator which can be relocated to the left or right of the instrument to facilitate German or international setups. All in all, these easy-to-use timpani are ideal for busy, professional musicians.
