The YM 410 marimba is an ideal first marimba for those starting out on the instrument, its wider tone bars are close to professional size yet the smaller range of the instrument makes learning 4 mallet technique easier and more under the hand. Suitable for use in most early orchestral repertory that requires the marimba, the YM 410's small 4 octave frame make it a great 'on the road' instrument for those who have no need of the extremities of the bass register that other models offer. All large tuned percussion instruments such as xylophones, marimbas, vibes etc are delivered boxed and require assemble which is not included in the price.
