The YM 40 marimba has tone bars made of select padauk which offers an ideal balance between tone and price for the budget conscious.

It features a reinforced frame and a unique adjustable height system, perfect for the younger percussionist. The YM 40 has slightly thicker and thus slimmer note bars, meaning that the younger player learning 4mallet techniques can more easily reach intervals that on a larger full size instrument would be impossible for those with smaller hands. The YM 40 is thus an instrument suited both to the learner and the touring professional, as the scaled down size of the instrument makes it easier to transport and to set up in cramped stage conditions.All large tuned percussion instruments such as xylophones, marimbas, vibes etc are delivered boxed and require assemble which is not included in the price.
