The Stentor Conservatoire violin outfit is chosen by intermediate players and above who are looking to progress and develop their sound and is often recommended by teachers as a step-up instrument for students. The instrument is made using an inside mould giving fine detail and accuracy to the assembly of the body. The next model on from the Stentor Student II, the instrument has a developed, sophisticated look.

The Stentor Conservatoire violin comes with a selected octagonal wood bow with natural white horsehair and full mounted ebony frog. It is stored in an oblong lightweight case which has plenty of space for accessories inside and out, with a plush teal lining, carrying strap, two bow holders, a music pocket, hygrometer to measure humidity in the case and a case blanket. High-quality rosin is included.

Hand-crafted, traditional design

The Conservatoire has a hand-carved spruce front and carved flamed maple back, neck and ribs, finished in Stentor's Shellac varnish, which has been developed over many years, and this gives a glossier sheen to the instrument whilst bringing out the quality of the tone woods. With ebony fittings, a composite tailpiece, and integral adjusters, this responsive instrument is a high-quality outfit often recommended for its sound.

This violin has traditional ebony inlaid purfling, which can prevent the spread of any cracks, as well as being an ornate decoration. Additionally, this instrument is fitted with a higher-grade string than the Stentor student I and II, incorporating synthetic gut strings which can vastly improve the tonal qualities of the instrument.
