This Geiger counter can be used to count the number of decays from various radioactive sources. The decay is heard as the €œgeiger counter sound€ - one click for each registered impulse from the GM tube and the result can be read on the LCD display, while also being registered in the counter's memory. The counter can make both single measurements and repeated measurement series. In the latter case, the latest complete count number is displayed for an entire measurement period, at the same time as the new measurement counts up in a secondary display. The measurement periods can be selected for these fixed time intervals: 1, 10, 60, 100 or 300 seconds. You can also choose to hear a low beep after each measurement period. In addition to the fixed intervals, you can also count for an unlimited time.The counter can be connected to GM tubes with both BNC and Jack connectors. The unit is powered via six 1.5V AA batteries (this gives several days of battery life) - these are included. A power adapter can be purchased separately. Dimensions: 234mm x 108mm x 65mm.
