This concentrated algae growth medium is an almost universal medium for freshwater algae. It is manufactured by Varicon Aqua, a well respected firm who typically supply commercial aquaculture facilities and fisheries. This concentrated algal cultivation medium provides all the necessary nutrients, trace elements and vitamins stabilised within a formulation that when re-constituted provides everything needed for optimal algal growth. It is based on an enriched freshwater formulation for the growth of Haematococcus pluvialis, but can also be used for other freshwater algae. For advanced and tubular reactors requiring much higher algal concentrations just use at 2 to 5 times the standard concentration. If stored in a cool dark place or refrigerator, this product has a 6 month shelf life.
