E.g. children can think about the dangers and risks, in a safe space, that are involved in cooking and baking. Consider the added accessories that children may need to support this such as oven gloves and tea towels as they handle 'hot' dishes. It offers opportunities for children to think about simple, contextual maths as they set timers and think about how long food needs to be in the microwave for in comparison to the oven.
