• Provide mechanical equipment for children to play with and investigate.

• Explore and investigate how things work.
• EYFS, Understanding the World
• Promotes an understanding of cause and effect.

• Encourages young children to play freely with a wide range of objects e.g., stacking and combining.
• Connectors and glowing light up cylinders that engage children in construction and loose parts play.
• The collection of connectors and cylinders offers a unique way for children to engage with loose parts play and technology.
• This joint collection encourages children to think critically as they connect and combine the cylinders in different ways. They can connect to create something long and flat or they can work upwards and create tall towering structures. There are 3 different connectors that enable children to work sideways and upwards. To create anything that they can imagine.
• By connecting these together children are working on physical development skills, more specifically fine motor skills, as they manipulate the pieces to push to connect.
Children can explore early mathematical skills as they create using colour patterns and thinking about length and size. It can encourage children to work on trial and error, to problem solve and discover how to create their structure.
• Three different ways to join and connect
• Developmentally appropriate technology alongside loose part exploration
• Supports working through trial and error
