In this easy PCR experiment, students will make billions of copies of a small amount of DNA in just 90 minutes! They will just need to mix template DNA & primers with PCR beads that contain all of the other components required to carry out a PCR reaction. Students will see the increasing amounts of DNA for themselves, taking samples every few cycles and analyzing them on a DNA gel. For 10 Lab Groups (2-4 Students per Group). Kit includes: Instructions, PCR EdvoBeads, LyphoPrimer Mix, DNA Standard Marker, Ultra-pure Water, LyphoTemplate, TE Buffer, UltraSpec-Agarose, 50X Electrophoresis Buffer, FlashBlue Stain, SYBR® Safe DNA Stain, Microcentrifuge & PCR Tubes. You need: 5-50μl adjustable micropipettes, tips, thermal cycler, electrophoresis apparatus, power supply, microwave or hot plate, UV transilluminator, white light visualization system (use if staining with FlashBlue).
