The Wireless Soil Moisture Sensor is a flexible instrument that will easily capture soil moisture values. It allows the exploration of soil moisture variation with type, conditioning and time in both a educational and field-based environment. Fully field-deployable, this Soil Moisture Sensor and probe comes equipped with both pre-defined and user-defined calibration scales for maximum flexibility. The probe has a calibrated ruler with 10cm and 12cm (vertical depth) fiducial marks for measurement reproducibility. The probe has a tapered end to allow easy insertion to pre-loosened ground. The probe can be presented with the major axis vertically for direct soil assessment, or horizontal for specific water penetration depth studies.
