Introducing the Allen and Heath DX168 expander

The Expander’s rugged design, with hard-wearing rubber bumpers, allows it to be placed directly on the stage floor during performances. It's designed to add remote I/O to a dLive, Avantis, or SQ system. Weighing in at just 4.8kg and featuring a sturdy carry handle, the DX168 offers the convenience and portability needed for live events, education settings, houses of worship, and many other environments.

There's no configuration required, and firmware updates are handled automatically. Just connect to your mixer and you’re ready to go!

Ready for anything

The DX168 can be placed up to 100m away from the mixer for maximum flexibility of positioning. The expander connects via a single Cat5e cable to the mixer or upstream DX Expander via a secure EtherCon port. A second locking EtherCon port is provided for redundant connection to compatible hardware, or for daisy-chaining to a downstream DX Expander for additional remote I/O.
